In reply to Wander Experten. Hi there. It has now been cleared and and marked. Caution should still be exercised above the bridge where the trail is crumbly. It is also now possible to veer off if you wish to Ag Georgos monastery at Pera Karia. Enjoy and don't hesitate to contact again.

Hi Heather, the surviving stonework and the old bridge make this route especially interesting. Your account also shows why an old path on a map should not automatically be treated as a usable hiking trail. We are the team behind Wander Experten and would love to clarify one point for route planning: has the section from the bridge down to Tzilali now been cleared, or should walkers still regard this as a restoration project?
